St. Patrick’s Day is the biggest day of the year for Tullamore Dew, and each year it gets bigger as Irish whiskey sales grow in the US, says Harvey Purchese, Sr. VP of Marketing for William Grant & Sons. Irish whiskey is the fastest growing whiskey category in the US, growing over 18% over the last 3 years. Tullamore Dew went from a 68k case brand in 2010 when William Grant purchased it, to a 114k brand by 2013. Now the company is building a new distillery in its hometown of Tullamore, Ireland.
