In his speech to the United Nations General Assembly, President Donald Trump touted the new deal between the U.S. and Denmark that will allow the U.S. “permanent control over security” in Greenland.
Trump said the deal, which will be signed Tuesday, meant that “no U.S. adversary will ever be permitted to establish a military presence in Greenland anymore or make sensitive investments there without our express written approval.”
