Three High School Students Launch MyDaye AI to Turn Busy Schedules Into Daily Plans – Unite.AI
ShareShareShareShareShare

A student’s calendar rarely tells the whole story. An assignment may live in a school portal, a practice time in a team app, and a weekend shift in a separate calendar. MyDaye AI, launched by three high school students on October 21, aims to connect those scattered commitments and help students decide what to do next.

Founders Avi Rao, Hansen Wilson, and Holt Wilson are positioning the conversational planning platform around the full student day: coursework, athletics, extracurricular activities, family obligations, work, and time with friends. Rao is a senior; the Wilsons are sophomores. Their premise is that managing education requires more than collecting deadlines—it requires fitting the work around the rest of life.

“We didn’t set out to build another education app,” Rao said in the launch announcement. “We built the tool we wished we had every day in school.”

From a List of Deadlines to a Plan of Action

MyDaye combines conversational planning with task organization. Students can use voice or text to discuss their workload, break a larger project into smaller steps, and organize priorities around existing commitments. The company says its assistant can suggest when to start studying and adjust plans as schedules change.

That approach addresses a familiar gap between knowing an assignment is due and knowing how to finish it. A paper due Friday may require research, an outline, a draft, and revisions. A useful planning assistant needs to make those intermediate steps visible while leaving room for classes, practice, and other obligations.

“I didn’t need another app telling me what was due,” Holt Wilson said. “I needed an AI buddy that understood everything happening in my life and could help me decide what to do next.”

Syllabus Scanning and Calendar Feeds Bring the Inputs Together

The platform can extract assignments, examinations, and deadlines from an uploaded syllabus to build out a semester calendar, according to the announcement. Its website also describes calendar connections, schedule uploads, and support for iCal and ICS feeds. Canvas Calendar and Blackbaud Calendar are specifically identified as live.

The company lists school systems including Blackboard, Schoology, Moodle, and Brightspace alongside Google Calendar, Outlook, and sports scheduling services such as TeamSnap, GameChanger, and SportsEngine. These connections should be understood in the context of the supported calendar feeds and imports; they do not establish that every service has a full, two-way learning-management-system integration.

MyDaye’s website adds another capability: an assistant that can help troubleshoot calendar setup and syllabus uploads, inspect an account, and make supported changes with the user’s approval. That gives its agentic features a concrete scope—helping users get their planning workflow running.

Making Time With Friends Part of the Workflow

MyDaye also treats social coordination as a scheduling problem. Its FindTime feature compares shared availability to suggest when a group can meet. In the company’s example, students can ask for a window when everyone is available or look for a 90-minute slot before Friday.

The company says friends see availability rather than the private details of a student’s calendar unless the student chooses to share more. Participants can accept a suggested time and add the event to their calendars. This connects planning with an outcome students care about: having room for activities beyond homework.

The intended experience changes with the student’s circumstances. Middle school users get a simpler day view and optional parent visibility. High school planning incorporates clubs, rehearsals, jobs, and college visits. College use extends to course schedules, group projects, roommates, and work shifts.

Availability and the Free Student Offering

MyDaye says all student features are now free, without a subscription or trial deadline, and an account is required to save plans. The app is available for iPhone, with Android availability described in the announcement as coming soon. Apple’s listing currently still displays Pro in-app purchases, which differs from the free-access message on the company’s website.

The launch materials do not identify the underlying AI model or publish independent measures of planning accuracy. The capabilities described are a practical application of conversational AI, document extraction, and scheduling workflows rather than evidence of a new foundation-model architecture.

The opportunity for MyDaye is to make those pieces work together with less effort from students. Bringing in a deadline is the starting point; helping someone act on it without losing track of the rest of their day is the more useful test. The company’s 60-second product demonstration shows the planning experience it is building toward.
