As spring breakers flood popular tourist destinations in Mexico, the Department of Public Safety warns drug cartel violence is a significant safety threat. The U.S. Department of State, however, issued guidance only listing six Mexican states under a “do not travel advisory.” This comes after four Americans were kidnapped and two were killed while in the country.
