The Dow Jones and S&P closed at record highs again on Tuesday, the S&P flirting with 1,900 but failing to hold that level at the close. The Nasdaq was lower after outstripping broader markets on Monday with tech stocks such as Twitter, Facebook and Cisco continuing to fluctuate as investors grow nervous around momentum stocks. Retail data was mixed with disappointing growth for April but an upward revision for March. Many retailers are due to report earnings this week, though no clear read is expected on their sales until later in the year. Jane Searle reports from the NYSE.
