New York State legislators are getting closer to voting on medicinal marijuana legislation. A recent amendment was made to the legislation listing the approved illnesses that would be covered. Senator Diane Savino’s counsel Bryan Clenahan tells TheStreet that the bill needs to go to the health committee and then possibly the finance committee first. After that, it could come to the floor for a vote before the session ends on June 19th. Clenahan says there are enough bipartisan votes to pass the legislation, but he concedes that time is running out.
