As President Biden met with NATO leaders in Washington, there were new warning signs about his campaign. Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi stopped short of saying Mr. Biden should stay in the race, saying “it’s up to the president to decide if he is going to run.” And actor George Clooney, who has been a big supporter of Mr. Biden, called on him to drop out. Meanwhile, former President Trump returned to the campaign trail, keeping the focus in a Florida appearance on President Biden and his debate performance. Mr. Trump doubled down on some of his controversial policy positions, including immigration. Florida Senator Marco Rubio appeared at the event, heightening speculation that he could be Mr. Trump’s running mate, but there was no announcement. NBC News’ Gabe Gutierrez and Garrett Haake report.
