The battle between Charter Communications and Time Warner Cable is heating up. In its latest move, Charter Communications and John Malone’s Liberty Media are nominating a slate of 13 independent board members to Time Warner Cable’s Board. The Deal’s Media Correspondent reports Chris Nolter reports the latest move by Charter to put pressure on Time Warner Cable to consider the bed. Charter is offering $132.50 a share for Time Warner Cable. For its part, Time Warner Cable says it will only consider sitting down with Charter if they raise their offering price to $160 a share. Nolter believes Malone and Charter will likely raise their bid to roughly $145 a share.
