The Street’s Jim Cramer, Portfolio Manager of Action Alerts PLUS, answers viewers’ Twitter questions from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange Monday. Jim’s first question was whether Target’s (TGT) promotion of chief financial officer John Mulligan to the new role of chief operating officer presents a buying opportunity. Jim said he was surprised by the move, and to see a new CFO appointed on the eve of Target reporting earnings is not a reason to buy. Jim noted that Action Alerts PLUS has a ‘fairly substantial’ position in the stock. Jim was also asked about GoPro (GPRO) at current levels, and he responded that the way to play it is through Ambarella (AMBA), because it makes chips for the GoPro cameras and other devices. He noted that it’s a very highly valued stock, but that’s the way to play it. Jim’s third question was on SunCor Energy (SU), with a viewer wanting to know whether the stock would be much higher one year from today. Jim said he would not advise getting into the stock. Another viewer asked what was going on with Emerson Electric (EMR), and Jim responded that he was ‘quite shocked’ at the state of business at Emerson. He said almost every division is doing poorly, and he thinks the company just ended up being too close to oil and gas, not unlike Dover (DOV).
