OpenAI just launched GPT-6.1 Terra, the new middle model between Luna and Sol at half the price of Sol. I gave the same prompt (a working diecast RX-7 with an animated Wankel engine, plus five reference photos) to Terra on Light and High, Sol on Medium, and Claude Opus 5.5 on Medium. The OpenAI models needed a “3d pls” follow-up. Claude never got one. Then: pricing, benchmarks, and the three new math and physics results OpenAI announced today, explained like I’m five.

One test, one prompt: take it with a grain of salt and try it yourself.
