Palantir Technologies and Fujitsu on September 10, 2026, announced the renewal of their strategic partnership, with Fujitsu signing a new agreement with Palantir Technologies Japan KK for Palantir AIP and Palantir Foundry and agreeing to serve as a Global Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) Partner.

The companies described the renewal as a deeper investment in the capabilities needed to help enterprises in Japan and around the world, with the stated goal of advancing enterprise AI transformation. Palantir Technologies Inc. and Fujitsu Limited issued the announcement with a dateline of Kawasaki, Japan, and Miami.

The release ties the deepened partnership to growing enterprise demand for sovereignty, described in the announcement as greater control over data, models, infrastructure, and operations. According to the companies, Palantir’s platforms connect AI models to governed data, Ontology-powered workflows, access controls, auditing, and customer-controlled deployment environments, enabling the two companies to deliver trusted AI applications.

Supply Chain Deployment and Reported Results

Fujitsu has implemented a supply chain resilience solution for what the companies describe as a leading Japanese manufacturer, built on the Palantir platform. The project integrated data across more than 3,000 suppliers and 18 factories, according to the announcement, and connected enterprise systems that had previously operated in silos. Fujitsu carried out the integration without disrupting the manufacturer’s operations.

The companies reported that by combining Palantir’s platform capabilities with Fujitsu’s domain expertise and AI technologies, the manufacturer achieved more than $10 million in cost savings within one year. The companies also reported that the customer doubled its operational productivity and significantly accelerated its disruption response and decision-making.

Forward Deployed Engineering Investment

Fujitsu said it is making a significant investment in building Forward Deployed Engineering capabilities with Palantir for customers in Japan and around the world. Under the renewed partnership, the company will bring its own AI technologies, including the Takane large language model, together with extensive industry knowledge, its Uvance offerings, and experienced FDE professionals to support customers adopting Foundry and AIP and to help them develop custom AI applications within sovereign, production-grade architectures.

Executive Statements and Partnership History

“This partnership is about bringing Palantir’s sovereign AI architecture to Fujitsu’s customers across Japan,” said Kevin Kawasaki, Global Head of Business Development at Palantir Technologies. He said Fujitsu is investing in the deployed engineering capabilities needed to help enterprises build custom AI applications and models on AIP and Foundry, grounded in their own data and workflows and governed within their own operational environments.

Yoshinami Takahashi, Corporate Executive Officer, Corporate Vice President and COO of Fujitsu, said in Fujitsu’s own announcement that the strategic partnership with Palantir has been in place since 2020 and has strengthened Fujitsu’s ability to translate data and AI into tangible business outcomes. He said Palantir pioneered and established the FDE concept, and that through the collaboration Fujitsu has learned the role of FDEs, how they create value, and the engineering and other capabilities they require.

Takahashi said Fujitsu has used that knowledge to build an FDE framework capable of rapidly delivering results at customer sites, going beyond the simple introduction of technology. He added that Fujitsu’s FDE professionals have earned recognition from customers in Japan and overseas, which he said gives the company confidence that their expertise and execution capabilities are globally competitive. He also noted that FDE professionals have attracted increasing attention in recent years.

“Through this expanded collaboration, we will bring together the knowledge and execution capabilities of both companies to help more customers translate AI transformation into tangible and sustainable outcomes,” Takahashi said.

The companies said they will continue to collaborate on customer engagements in Japan and around the world, with Fujitsu bringing its industry expertise, services capabilities, and deployed engineering capabilities to organizations adopting Foundry and AIP. Fujitsu will also drive business transformation through Uvance by connecting data, AI, and frontline operations, with the stated aim of helping customers achieve sustainable growth and strengthen their competitiveness.
