Facebook may be banned in China, but that hasn’t slowed the social media giant from quietly building its advertising business there. Bloomberg reports that Facebook is looking to lease office space in China, presumably to open an office there. However, the company has already been working with exports on advertising. Facebook has essentially become more of an advertising company than a social media company since the social network went public, and companies have learned that a Facebook page is no good without spending some ad dollars since Facebook cut back on organic reach.
