A pioneer in personal computers, Apple revolutionized the industry with innovative technology. First with its iMac line of computers and then with the introduction of its iPhones, iPads, software and online services. Founded in 1976 by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Ronald Wayne, Apple had humble beginnings in a garage in northern California where the founders, led by Wozniak, hand-built their first computer, The Apple I. Since those first days, Apple has gone on to change the way we communicate, work, listen to music and consume entertainment. In 2015 with the release of its iPhone 6, the company surpassed rival Samsung in marketshare.
