Cemig (CIG), Brazil’s largest power company, saw shares fall 9% since the start of the year. Its new CEO, Mauro Borges Lemos, who took control of the company in January 2015, told TheStreet’s Scott Gamm that Brazil has been challenging in 2015, but the company is looking to diversify. ‘We think we can diversity to wind and solar in addition to hydrogen – that’s out strength,’ Borges Lemos said in an interview after ringing Thursday’s closing bell at the New York Stock Exchange. Borges Lemos also comments on potential international expansions beyond Brazil and energy sources of the future.
