Shares of Alcoa ended Thursday’s trading day down over 3%, making it TheStreet’s move of the day. The company reported earnings on Wednesday and while the metals company beat estimates on the profits side, posting earnings per share of 28 cents, two cents ahead of forecasts, it missed expectations on the top line. Revenue came in at $5.82 billion, compared to estimates of $5.94 billion. Though revenue was up 7% year-over-year, largely driven by growth in its aerospace and automotive divisions. Shares are trading at $13.21 per share. TheStreet’s Scott Gamm has details from New York.
