Global Trends in 2015 will likely include many of the products people are already seeing in the marketplace today. From teens, known as Generation Z, to new forms of mobility (Apple Pay and drones) and the idea that no one wants to be tied down to a product or service (Rent The Runway), these trends will continue to manifest themselves in products companies offer to consumers. Globally, the idea of failure is losing its stigma and rebels and renegades are blazing a new path which may help lead the world forward. Ford’s Futurist Sheryl Connelly says Generation Z may hold the most clues on what the future will look like. She says there is a ‘palpable excitement in the air’ as Americans head into 2015. TheSteet’s Ruben Ramirez caught up with Connelly on a quick stopover in New York before her next global trend spotting journey.
