Investors can expect a return to stability and an increase in shareholder activism with Janet Yellen as Fed Chairman, says Dorothy Weaver, portfolio manager for the Collins Alternative Solutions Fund and former Chairman of the Miami Federal Reserve Bank. Instead of periods of risk-on versus risk-off, investors will see a return to fundamentals and stock-picking in her opinion. Weaver also says the slow growth environment will cause a sharp upturn in M&A as cash-rich companies seek to create their own money-making opportunities.
