The NBA star breaks down why he’s betting big on cryptocurrency.

TRISTAN THOMPSON: I’m so I’m definitely big into the crypto Web3 space. You know I went to token in Singapore. I have a crypto podcast called courtside crypto, which basically for me it’s, whenever you talk to people that are in the crypto space, right? They use a lot of words that people don’t understand or can’t gravitate. For me, it’s like being the bridge to gap, because at the end of the day, do I look at the crypto world is that I feel the cup is about 90% to 95% full, right? All those people in that space, they’re all in the pot. But in our world, in the web, two world is what they call it the normies. I feel like it’s to be conservative, maybe only 8% full of the cup, which means there’s a 92% cup that needs to get full, right? Because the world is changing. You see, with them talking about building out a Bitcoin reserve here in America, right? Right now you can use your USDC to, to pay for, for regular things. I know I use my own USDC card to pay when I go to restaurants, right?
I mean, listen, I can use my I can tap to pay right now. And by McDonald’s with my crypto right now. Right so for me, it’s like, how can I take the web2 audience and integrate both worlds and combine them into one? And for me, with my pockets and my platform, I feel like I’m able to articulate and help people onboard and understand in a way that’s very simple. My base. This is my base. My goal is how can I take the gentleman that works at the concession stands in the arena, instead of him going to a. No disrespect to none of these financial institutions instead of going to H&R Block and fidelity and give them your biweekly check to invest for you. How about you learn how to take more financial freedom? Because I feel like crypto is it’s gaining back your financial freedom, where you can open a wallet, where you can do DeFi and yield and make 1% a day on your money. Right my whole goal is to help people create financial freedom and help their life grow.
