On Thursday, May 21 Wall Street awaits earnings reports before and after the market’s regular trading session as well as key economic data. On the earnings front, we note quarterly financial results from Best Buy Co Inc (BBY), Dollar Tree (DLTR), Aeropostale Inc (ARO), Gap Inc. (GPS), Intuit (INTU), and Hewlett-Packard Co (HPQ). Hewlett Packard is the world’s second-largest personal computer vendor by revenue. The company is scheduled to report its second-quarter earnings after the market closes. Last quarter, the company saw some positives from its recent cost cutting initiatives. On the economic calendar, we note weekly jobless claims, the flash PMI manufacturing index, existing home sales, and leading indicators. TheStreet’s Kurumi Fukushima reports in New York.
