There may be more in Wet Seal’s forecast than the closure of its Arden B stores. The board will weigh interest from private equity or strategic buyers regarding a sale of the company in its entirety. The retailer’s newly appointed board member, Adam Rothstein, is leading a special committee to evaluate that interest. Wet Seal was on the block in the fall of 2012, but the company was unlikely to garner any kind of premium and instead a turnaround was attempted.
