This week the earnings growth estimate moved to up 5.4-percent and earnings were typically higher across the board. Nearly 70-percent of companies beat expectations, less than 10-percent were in line with analysts and 22-percent reported below estimates. The revenue growth estimate is at 2.8-percent, signaling the pace is slightly off from a typical quarter. A little more than half of the companies reported above expectations, while 47-percent were below. 61-percent of companies typically beat estimates. Next week revenues will be in focus to see if they can get back on track before the end of the current earnings season. TheStreet’s Kori Hale breaks down the earnings numbers.
