The week heading into Christmas proved to be an early gift for the bulls, following the Fed’s decision to taper back $10 billion of its $85 billion asset purchase plan. The S&P 500 is now on track to finish the year up nearly 27%, placing 2013 in the top 10 best annual returns since 1947.
