Proxy-battles between former President Trump and former Vice President Pence are taking place across multiple primaries. Trump is backing candidates that support the lie that the election was stolen. Pence is looking to move past the 2020 election and hone in on President Biden’s shortcomings in office. “I’d be surprised if there are more than two pro-impeachment Republicans out of 10 who are members of Congress come next January,” says Cook Political Report Senior Editor Dave Wasserman.
