Tonight, an 18-year old lifeguard is recovering after she was impaled with an umbrella while on duty at a beach in New Jersey. It’s a story all too familiar for Ed Quigley. Quigley, who nearly died after being struck with a rogue beach umbrella, is on a mission now to improve beach safety. NBC News’ Julie Tsirkin reports.
