Friday, February 27th is the funding deadline for the Department of Homeland Security. The department is set to run out of money, unless Congress agrees on a new spending bill. Senate Democrats warned that a partial shutdown of the agency is possible if House Republican leaders refuse to approve the Senate’s compromise bill. Funding for the department will expire at midnight on Friday. On the earnings front, we note financial results from NRG Energy (NRG) and Isis Pharmaceuticals (ISIS). On the economic calendar, we watch fourth quarter GDP revision, Chicago PMI, consumer sentiment, and the pending home sales index to finish off the week.
