Virginia mom convicted of misdemeanor after son walks alone

Mom Karyann Parkinson is speaking out tonight as a parenting debate grows online. Parkinson let her five-year-old son walk alone in their gated community in June. A security guard called police and Parkinson later faced six months of suspended jail time. NBC News’ Maggie Vespa has more on what she had to say.
