The company’s CFO joins TheStreet to explain the parallels.
Transcript:
Caroline Woods: You’ve differentiated yourself from Uber and Lyft, Obviously, that used to be really the main competition. I’ve seen you called a SaaS for public transit, so how should investors be valuing your stock like a Salesforce.
Clara Fain: Yes you know, so investors, we’ve had the chance to spend a lot of time with investors. And of course they’re experts at what they do. But what we provide, what is unique about VIA is that we sign long term contracts with government customers that, once we’re in, tend to be extremely sticky. We have driven really nice net revenue retention. We have built a platform, a technology platform that is very broad. And, you know, there are a few other technology companies out there, vertical software companies that sell to government. Those tend to be, great comparables. One of them is large and called Tyler technology you may be familiar with, but obviously there are other great companies that sell to government like Palantir or axon. We hope we’re in a category of our own, but definitely a vertical software player.
