According to defense officials, the Ukrainian pilots aren’t flying actual planes, but are having their skills assessed and are being familiarized with new aircraft and equipment like the F-16. This comes as President Zelenskyy repeatedly asked the U.S. for F-16s, but the Biden administration has resisted.
