The American Gas Association President Dave McCurdy tells TheStreet’s Joe Deaux the United States can’t offset any Russian embargo disruptions to natural gas. U.S. gas exports could send an additional signal to Europe that perhaps there are alternatives in the future, McCurdy says. McCurdy says Europe must choose to “align with shale gas or with Russia,” and it’s up to Europe to look at their own development. Ultimately, U.S. gas exports to the continent isn’t the solution to troubles.
