Home prices continue to hit speed bumps as the S&P/Case-Shiller Home Price Index, which measures prices in 20-metropolitan cities, rose 4.5% year-over-year as of October, compared to a 4.8% yearly rise in September, according to a new report released on Tuesday. For the month of November, the index dropped 0.1%. TheStreet’s Scott Gamm speaks with David Blitzer, Chairman of the Index Committee at S&P Dow Jones Indices to talk more about the state of the housing market, why more consumers are renting and how the looming policy shift from the Federal Reserve could change the housing market in 2015.
