As the 2016 presidential campaigns get underway, with Hillary Clinton and Marco Rubio recently announcing their presidential bids, TV company’s are looking ahead to big ad dollars. Moody’s Investors Service expects 2016 political advertising spending to reach at least $3.4 billion in 2016. Those that may benefit include broadcasters such as Entravision Communications Corp. (EVC), E.W. Scripps (SSP), Gannett Co. (GCI), Gray Television Inc. (GTN), Media General (MEG), Nexstar Broadcasting (NXST), Sinclair (SBGI), Tribune Media Co. (TRCO) and Univision Communications Inc., The Deal’s Chris Nolter reported.
