Toyota announced it is planning on moving its sales headquarters to Texas. David Nelson, Chief Strategist at Belpointe Asset Management believes that states with lower tax rates like Texas will continue to be successful at poaching companies from high-tax states like California. Texas has actively courted companies. The move also gets management closer to production. Toyota has struggled with quality control over the past few years and it has cost them millions in fines.
