Tim Geithner released his new book, “Stress Test, Reflections on Financial Crisis” on Monday, and the book is generating a lot of criticism from many people involved in the crisis at the time. Belpointe Asset Management Chief Strategist David Nelson puts the time in perspective as he reflects on the financial crisis. Of course, the crisis may be somewhat behind the market, but the legacy remains. The Troubled Asset Relief Program, or TARP, still exists as does the $42 million annual budget for the Special Inspector General for the TARP program. However, SIG TARP wants to increase its budget to $46 million next year.
