TheStreet’s Action Alerts PLUS Portfolio Manager Jim Cramer said Oracle (ORCL) had ‘a monster quarter’ thanks to an explosion of growth in the cloud. Cramer said Oracle’s Larry Ellison is a fierce competitor and trash-talked competitors Salesforce.com (CRM), Amazon (AMZN), Microsoft (MSFT) and Workday (WDAY). Cramer said, ‘This is a company that just refuses to play dead…their cloud business is on fire.’ Cramer predicts investors could see an “explosion in earnings” in the future. Considering other cloud companies have also reported strong results, Cramer said that rather than having one or two big winners in the space, ‘maybe there’s room for everybody, because the cloud is so revolutionary.’
