Fox News and Fox Business Network were both blocked by Dish Network on Sunday as a result of contract negotiation issues. However this is not the first time that a conflict between a TV provider and a network have led to a network blackout. Dish network has only recently settled the disputes they had with some local CBS and Turner Broadcasting channels that also resulted in temporary blackouts for those stations. Dish is saying that Fox attempted to introduce new channels into their contract renewal negotiation and Fox is saying that Dish prematurely shut down their network as a means of intimidating Fox and swaying their decision.
