U.S. stocks opened solidly higher Monday. Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.A) is buying Precision Castparts (PCP) for $37 billion. It’s the largest acquisition ever for Berkshire Hathaway and further grows Buffett’s industrial empire. Apple (AAPL) is expected to host an event on September 9th to possible introduce a new iPhone as well as Apple TV, Buzzfeed reports. Intuit (INTU) has been downgraded to MARKET PERFORM at Raymond James from STRONG BUY. LionsGate Entertainment (LGF) stock price target was raised at Macquarie Bank to $46 a share. Dean Foods (DF) reported a profit and the milk processor’s earnings also beat expectations.
