Hailing a cab with a mobile device in cities around the world has become easier with the invention of location-based services such as Uber and Halo. Tappsi is not only making it easier for Colombians to order a taxi, it’s also making it safer by vetting drivers and using confirmation numbers to avoid robberies and kidnappings. TheStreet’s Ruben Ramirez speaks with Tappsi CEO Andres Gutierrez about the start-ups’ story and future South American expansion plans at their headquarters in Bogotá, Colombia.
