Dish Network (DISH) spiked on reports the company is discussing a potential merger with T-Mobile (TMUS). Rite Aid (RAD) shares were lower despite the drugstore chain reporting a 2.1% gain in same-store sales in May. A 3% increase in pharmacy sales helped to offset the effect of less profitable generic brands. Opko Health (OPK) fell after announcing it will acquire Bio-Reference Laboratories (BRLI) in an all-stock deal. Bio-Reference shares rocketed higher on the news. Stocks accelerated losses as crude oil plummeted ahead of a meeting of OPEC members on Friday. The group is expected to maintain current production levels at record highs.
