The S&P 500 closed at a record high after assurances from Putin that the Ukraine crisis would not immediately escalate. Global markets nosedived yesterday but rebound strongly today on news of easing tensions. Short term volatility triggered by emerging markets is being viewed by traders as a buying opportunity amid plentiful signs of broader strength in the market.
