Number 3 on the list, is Minneapolis, Minnesota, where health care, tech, food manufacturing, and professional services positions abound. Coming in at number 2, Odessa, Texas. This city has great opportunities in energy, construction, health care, and other service sectors. And number 1 on the list, Lincoln, Nebraska. This city is the top city for career opportunities because of low unemployment, strong job growth, and low ratio of applicants to open jobs. Its popular industries are construction, financial services, state government, manufacturing, and health care. Now, while those cities may be hot right now, according to Glassdoor, here’s a quick look at some cities that are likely to become hot beds of job growth in the coming months. Boston, due to their strong technology sector. Baltimore, because of their growth in health care, information technology, transportation, and bioscience. Chicago has seen growth in transportation, warehousing, and public utilities jobs, and Philadelphia, and Washington D.C. are expected to have job growth, as well.
