Investors seeking exposure to pre-IPO technology companies with the potential to become the next Facebook or Alibaba should consider the SharesPost 100 Fund, said the mutual fund’s manager Sven Weber. Weber added that the SharesPost 100 Fund targets a custom list of the 100 most interesting companies in Silicon Valley, including names like AirBnB, Uber and SoundCloud. He said the fund is different from late stage venture capital funds because it offers quarterly liquidity, a single fee structure and a $2,500 minimum. Finally, Weber said the fund exits a company’s shares a few months after it goes public.
