Several Wall Street analysts called the Presidential Debate a draw. CNBC says most analysts it spoke with didn’t think the debate was a game changer but the night did get personal and bit dragged down into the mud. The Mexican peso gained against the U.S. dollar on the news. It had traded as much as 2% higher Sunday before trimming those gains just before the debate. Rebuilding after Hurricane Matthew could impact the entire U.S. economy. Jobs and activity are expected to be added as communities rebuild homes and commercial buildings damaged in the storm. Property data firm Corelogic estimates that insured losses on residential and commercial buildings will be between $4 and $6 billion, less than what was projected late last week. Samsung has temporarily suspended production of the Galaxy Note 7 smartphone while it investigates what is happening with its batteries catching on fire.
