Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., spoke on the Senate floor about advancing several military nominations despite Sen. Tommy Tuberville’s, R-Ala., continued hold. Schumer claimed the blockade has caused an “avoidable emergency,” after having to advance the Marine Corps’ second-in-command after the commandant was hospitalized.
