Rutinel wins the Democratic primary in Colorado’s 8th District

State Rep. Manny Rutinel has won the Democratic primary for Colorado’s battleground 8th District, NBC News projects, defeating former state Rep. Shannon Bird. Rutinel will face freshman GOP Rep. Gabe Evans this fall in a district Trump carried by less than 2 points in 2024.
