The battle for second place in the GOP presidential race was turned up a notch in Thursday’s GOP debate, as Marco Rubio repeatedly attacked frontrunner Donald Trump. ‘Rubio seems like he really held his own,’ said Politico Reporter Eliza Collins. ‘Rubio’s performance was strong last night, he finally brought up some things people have been pressuring him to do for awhile. But the question is, is that too late? Why didn’t he do that in the first debate?’ Collins said we’ll have a better idea if Rubio made a difference for his campaign after the votes are tallied from Super Tuesday next week. Collins said both Rubio and Ted Cruz need a strong showing against Trump. TheStreet’s Rhonda Schaffler has details from Wall Street.
