U.S. stocks opened higher on reports that Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras sent a letter to European creditors agreeing to most conditions of a financing deal. The report raised hopes that Greece and its creditors could reach a deal that would keep Greece in the Eurozone. Chrysler reported June sales that were slightly less than expected but were still higher by 8.2 percent. Jeep led sales for Fiat Chrysler, with a 25 percent gain last month. A new study says American doctors got $6.5 billion from drug companies last year in speaking fees and other payments. The information comes from the The Open Payments program, which was created under the Affordable Care Act healthcare reform with the aim of improving transparency, requires drug and device manufacturers to report payments to health care providers.
