European stocks were struggling for direction on Wednesday as investors awaited the outcome of the two-day Fed meeting and as the latest UK labor-market figures failed to distract from the standoff between Greece and its creditors. In Paris, Remy Cointreau rose after posting strong full-year results and announcing a higher annual dividend, while in London, builder Berkeley Group Holdings got a bounce after posting strong full-year earnings. Telecom Italia SpA and Vivendi SA were also both up amid reports that Vivendi plans to raise its stake in the Italian company to as much as 15%.
