European markets slipped on Monday, dragged down by Deutsche Bank (DB) as well as healthcare stocks. In London housebuilders were also down on pre-election bid by Labour Party to introduce rent controls. Deutsche slips after revealing $3.8 billion cost-cutting plan, but Volkswagen speeds ahead after chairman’s resignation. HSBC (HSBC) Bank seen moving headquarters from UK and splitting off British operation. BP (BP) told British government would frown on takeover by ExxonMobil (XOM) and CapGemini buys iGATE (IGTE).
