Stocks are in the sixth year of a secular bull market and these typically run at least 11 years, said Bill Greiner, Chief Investment Officer for Mariner Holdings. Greiner added that European and emerging markets provide equal parts risk and opportunity in the current environment. He said careful investment selection can lead to opportunities for investors who have a 3 to 5 year time horizons. Furthermore, Greiner said domestic development of oil and natural gas is fueling strong manufacturing growth that is leading to new opportunities in critical sectors of the U.S. market. Finally, he said range-bound gas prices will lead to an increase in consumer spending.
