TheStreet’s Jim Cramer is keeping a close eye on Chipotle Mexican Grill (CMG) as the popular fast food chain struggles to get a handle on the E. coli outbreak that has hit restaurants across the country. Cramer says that when Taco Bell (YUM) had an E. coli issue, ‘the stock was down very badly initially and then down again when the CDC got involved.’ He continued, ‘Chipotle has to got to get a handle on this thing or otherwise…the stock is still going to go lower and this bounce may be an opportunity to sell.’ Shares of CMG were down nearly 11 percent over the past month. On Friday, the chain said it expects sales to drop 8 to 11 percent for the fourth quarter. The outbreak has sickened 52 people in 9 states according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
